After a brief hiatus Anu Malik is all set to strike right musical chords with some of his prestigious line-up. He was out of the race but not out of the game and this short break has brought back reformed Anu Malik and here he gives insight of his future projects. Over to him:SRK and Farah didn't repeat you in Om Shanti Om despite the fact that its music was hit and fetched you a Filmfare award. Right from the days of Baazigar I have always given my best for Shah Rukh Khan. I really don't know why I wasn't repeated for their next.This is nothing new for you, as makers have dropped you after successful music in their films.Yeah! It has happened in past many times, Farah Khan after Main Hoon Naa, Abbas Mustan after Baazigar, Rajkumar Hirani after Munna Bhai MBBS, Satish Kaushik after Mujhe Kuch Kahana Hai, and recently Anees Bazmi after No Entry haven't repeated me. It's better to ask this question to them.Makers of musical films like Subhash Ghai (Yaadein), Feroz Khan (Prem Agan), Sooraj Barjatya (Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon ) have failed to deliver a hit with you. You can't blame me alone for these failures. I have given my best to all my makers. A true technician should not be judged by the success or failure of film. It's a team work after all.

Anu Malik Did musical based reality show Indian Idol help you in bouncing back?With each season Indian Idol has got only bigger. People have appreciated me as a judge on the show. With Indian Idol my music got a face.Your forthcoming assignments?Satish Kaushik's Tere Sang where my daughter Anmol has rendered songs. Harman Baweja's debut film Love Story 2050 and Venus' Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam. But Sanjay Gupta's Mission Istanbul and Sajid Nadiadwala's Kambakht Ishq are two films where I am very excited.Despite your success some of the topmost filmmakers haven't worked with you.It's my dream to work with Yash Chopra, Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I am confident that I will work any of them at some or other points of time.What about the musical album you were planning to come out with?I am negotiating with a very big music company. Wait for some time for the surprise. Any thought about turning to acting?Acting is big no to me. As of now I want to concentrate on music direction and reality shows. I have spent 25 years in music and still haven't perfected the art. I should have started 25 years back.
